Cairns Indigenous Arts Fair

The first Cairns Indigenous Arts Fair (CIAF) was a huge success. Over 10,000 people flocked to see the work of 150 Queensland Indigenous Artists.

Premier and Arts Minister Anna Bligh heralded the event a success and said that CIAF had achieved its aims as part of the Queensland Government’s $10.73million Backing Indigenous Arts program.

'Backing Indigenous Arts' is a four year program dedicated to strengthening the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts industry.
