Bundaberg Community Cabinet
The 18th Bligh Government Community Cabinet, held in Bundaberg on Sunday 30 and Monday 31 August, attracted a record 193 formal deputations and a big turnout at the public forum held at Bundaberg North State High School.

At the start of Community Cabinet, 82-year-old Bundaberg model ship builder Bob Hillier presented Premier Anna Bligh with a model of the HMS Bounty, captained by William Bligh between 1787 and 1789.

Students from the Junior Seagulls and Junior Galahs classes at Avoca State Primary School in Bundaberg wrote to Premier Anna Bligh requesting help with a vegetable garden they are planting. The Premier dropped in with seedlings and congratulated the students and their teachers Mr Richardson and Mrs Slocomb on their initiative.
