Best Job in the World winner
On 6 May 2009, Premier Anna Bligh visited Queensland’s Hamilton Island to announce the successful candidate for the Best Job in the World campaign (non-government site). Britain’s Ben Southall beat more than 34,000 applicants to be offered the role of Caretaker of the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef.
