Jobs for Queenslanders
Premier Anna Bligh has set a target to create 100,000 new jobs to guide Queensland through the global financial crisis and make the State even stronger than before.
Her four point plan to reach this target by 2012 includes:
- keeping Queensland's record $17 billion building program going;
- preparing for recovery by developing skills for the future;
- creating new jobs by supporting the new industries of the future like Liquid Natural Gas and Solar while focusing on our traditional strengths like tourism and;
- developing new job creation programs.
