Healthy Queensland Awards

The Healthy Queensland Awards are an annual state-wide competition to find Queensland's healthiest community, Queensland's healthiest school and Queensland's healthiest workplace.

The Queensland Government, in partnership with Keep Australia Beautiful Queensland, invited all communities, schools and workplaces to enter the awards.

Winners announced

Regional award winners were announced in June 2009. The state award recipients were announced at a ceremony at Parliament House on Wednesday 26 August 2009.

Find out about the state winners and highly commended entrants.

Winners share a prize pool totalling $1 million for communities, $500,000 for schools and $100,000 for workplaces.

Prize money will go towards "healthy" infrastructure such as:
